Peru: Tacna department

Location: South of Perú.
Area: 16 076 km2.
Capital: Tacna (562 masl)
Altitude:

The department of this Tacna composed of desert, volcanic zones and cordilleranas. From the punas they get down rivers that go down for the plateau until the valleys come. On the coast, the sea and the wind they have formed beautiful little known beaches and of difficult access.

Tacna

This city is the bastion of the essence of all things Peruvian. The frontier city of Tacna, the business hub of the southern tip of Peru and an interesting stopover.

Tacna's only beach resort with tourist services is La Boca del Río.
